Mocha marie biscuit cake
MOCHA MARIE BISCUIT CAKE
INGREDIENTS
- Marie biscuit – 10 or 12 of any brand
- Water – ½ cup
- Instant coffee pwdr – 1 tsp
- Melted chocolate – 1 cup
PREPARATION
- Make a decotion by boiling ½ cup water + 1 tsp coffee pwdr.
- Melt any chocolate compound in microwave [30 seconds ] OR double boiler method .Refer here – How to melt chocolate .
METHOD
Spread a foil / cling wrap /parchment paper / butter paper.
Spread some melted chocolate in a circle shape of biscuit size.
Dip one biscuit in decotion and place it on the chocolate spread on the foil .
Now spread a layer of melted chocolate.
Again dip a biscuit in decotion and place it on the first biscuit.
Layer it up with chocolate.
Repeat with 5 or 6 biscuits by stacking them one on the other.
Spread the chocolate on the sides also .
Cover the foil on all sides like a cylindrical log shape.
Refrigerate it for 1 hour or more .
Cut it diagonally and serve chilled.
NOTES
- By dipping in decotion ,you get a soft cake type texture with mocha flavour. U can add little sugar in the decotion if u want.
- You can make without dipping for crispy crunchy texture.
- Instead of dipping in decotion , you can dip it any fruit juice like pineapple etc.
- Instead of stacking all the biscuits together, stack 3 or 4 biscuits at a time and make small cakes like cupcake.
- You can also decorate with icing or whipped cream.
- You can use digestive biscuits.
- You can use melted dark chocolate or milk chocolate or a mixture of both .
