Peanut chaat recipe
PEANUT CHAAT / PEANUT CHAAT
INGREDIENTS
- Raw peanuts – 1 ½ cup
- Finely chopped onion – ½ cup
- Finely chopped deseeded tomato – ½ cup
- Finely chopped coriander leaves – 3 tbsp
- Finely chopped raw mango – ¼ cup [ optional ]
- Cucumber – ¼ cup
- Grated carrot – ¼ cup
- Finely chopped green chilli – 1
- Finely chopped mint leaves – 1 tbsp
- Chilli pwdr – ¼ tsp
- Lemon juice – 2 tbsp or as required
- Chaat masala – 1 tsp
- Roasted cumin pwdr – ¼ tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Fine sev for garnish
PREPARATION
- Soak the peanuts over night or for 5-6 hrs.
- Pressure cook it with little salt till soft and not mushy. [ 3 – 4 whistles ] Allow it to cool.
METHOD
Mix all the ingredients with the cooked peanut one by one .
Mix well with clean hands.
Garnish with fine sev and serve.
NOTES
- You can use shelled peanuts also. Pressure cook it with salt for 4 – 5 whistles . After cooling ,drain and shell them.
- Masalas and ingredients can be adjusted as per your taste.
- You can also use skinless roasted peanuts instead of boiled peanuts.
