INGREDIENTS

  • Raw peanuts – 1 ½ cup
  • Finely chopped onion – ½ cup
  • Finely chopped deseeded tomato – ½ cup
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves – 3 tbsp
  • Finely chopped raw mango – ¼ cup [ optional ]
  • Cucumber – ¼ cup
  • Grated carrot – ¼ cup
  • Finely chopped green chilli – 1
  • Finely chopped mint leaves – 1 tbsp
  • Chilli pwdr – ¼ tsp
  • Lemon juice – 2 tbsp or as required
  • Chaat masala – 1 tsp
  • Roasted cumin pwdr – ¼ tsp
  • Salt as per taste
  • Fine sev for garnish

PREPARATION

  1. Soak the peanuts over night or for 5-6 hrs.
  2. Pressure cook it with little salt till soft and not mushy. [ 3 – 4 whistles ]  Allow it to cool.

METHOD

Mix all the ingredients with the cooked peanut one by one .

Mix well with clean hands.

Garnish with fine sev and serve.

NOTES

  1. You can use shelled peanuts also. Pressure cook it with salt for 4 – 5 whistles . After cooling ,drain and shell them.
  2. Masalas and ingredients can be adjusted as per your taste.
  3. You can also use skinless roasted peanuts instead of boiled peanuts.
