SONTH KE LADOO / POST DELIVERY LADDU / DINK KE LADDU

A lot of Indian traditions and families focus on the consumption of healthy laddu after childbirth. While the reasons might differ in motivations, the end result is always beneficial for the new mother. It is essential to keep the intake of laddus moderate and pair them with plenty of water intake as well, to avoid any side effects. These ladoos have warm properties and it is not advisable for pregnant women to consume them, but they can work wonders for nursing mothers.

BENEFITS OF THESE LADOOS [ google ]

Your body goes through intense trauma during delivery. After childbirth, there is a huge gap in the energy sources a woman has and the amount that she needs to recover, as well as take care of her child. Consuming gond ke laddus in such a scenario can provide a great amount of support for the same.

  • If childbirth has taken place during winters, the body needs to spend extra energy to keep itself warm and the baby safe as well. Eating gond ke laddus can help provide those extra calories that a mother needs.
  • Heartbeat regulation is also a necessity since the body needs to carry out proper blood circulation to different regions of the body. Gond ke laddus can help in that regard as well.
  • The protein requirement for a woman increases after childbirth since lactation and breastfeeding come under focus. Gond laddus contain a good amount of protein and can be consumed easily.
  • Having gone through a long pregnancy and a stressful delivery, a mother’s body is doing its best to recover its physical strength and carry out healing functions. The constituents used in the gond laddus contain adaptogenic properties that assist the body in repairing itself.
  • The immunity of a mother is at its lowest after childbirth, which makes her susceptible to falling ill and suffering from a cough, cold, diarrhoea or even ulcers. Gond laddus help build up that immunity again and treat such conditions effectively.
  • When the menstrual cycle resumes after the birth of the child, the initial phases can result in blood flow that is quite heavy, along with strong menstrual cramps. Taking care of it while looking after the child can take quite a toll. Gond laddus help keep the blood flow in check.
  • If your skin has lost its sheen and softness after the delivery, the constituents in the laddu can help the skin retains its moisture and bring back the glow you so desire.
  • Mothers can also suffer from urinary tract infections or other issues related to passage of urine after delivering a child. Gond has been widely used in Ayurveda as a way to treat incontinence of urination. Eating gond laddus could provide the same effect as well.
