Rava kheer
SOOJI KHEER / SEMOLINA KHEER / RAVA KHEER
INGREDIENTS
- Rava – 2 tbsp [ not more than this ]
- Milk – 2 cup
- Water – ½ cup
- Sugar – ¼ cup or as per taste
- Cardamom pwdr– ¼ tsp
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Cashew + raisins – 2 tbsp
METHOD
Heat ghee in a pan and fry the cashew + raisins , remove and keep aside. [ don’t burn ]
In the same pan add rava and roast on low flame till aromatic for few mins .[ colour should not change ]
In another pan boil milk + water .
Once it starts boiling, lower the flame and add the roasted rava and mix well.
Stir and cook for few mins.
Add sugar + cardamom pwdr and mix well.
Cook for 2 mins on low flame and off the flame.
Add the dry fruits and mix.
Serve hot or chilled.
NOTES
- You can also add edible camphor.
- You can adjust sugar and add condensed milk.
- Let the kheer be thin as it thickens when cooled.
- Instead of fried dry fruits you can add soaked , peeled and sliced almonds and pista .
- Y not add few strands of saffron
- Adjust water and milk as per the consistency ,you want.
