Homemade onion powder
ONION POWDER RECIPE

Onion powder may be used as a seasoning atop a variety of foods and dishes, such as pasta, pizza, and grilled chicken. It is also a primary ingredient in seasoning.
INGREDIENTS
Onion – 1 kg

Peel the onions.
Rinse and clean the onions and pat them dry after.
Slice the onions thinly and evenly so that they are dried consistently.
Seperate the rings for fast drying
Place them in drying racks or metal sheets and position them in a location with direct sunlight.
Once the onions are completely dehydrated place in food processor and process until you have a fine powder.
Sieve it if required .
Store in a tightly-sealed container, in a cool, dry location.
Homemade onion powder is more flavourful and potent than any store-bought
Substitute 1 tablespoon of onion powder for one medium chopped onion.
Onion powder brings an additional asset that makes it incredibly useful in the kitchen. It disburses evenly throughout the dish for rich, allover onion flavor. Sprinkle it into soups and stews, create creamy dips and salad dressings, perk up casseroles and vegetables, or use it as a base for rubs and marinades.
USES OF ONION POWDER – Onion powder is a seasoning made from dehydrated ground onions. This potent-smelling spice is most often used in dry rubs and in marinades to get concentrated onion flavor without the moisture and bulk of the onion bulb itself. It works best in western cuisine
