Maggi noodles cutlet recipe
MAGGI NOODLES CUTLET / PATTIES RECIPE
INGREDIENT
- Maggi noodles– 1 pkt
- Fresh Bread slices – 3 or 4
- Very finely chopped onion – 1 small
- Cheese grated – 1 cube
- Coriander leaves – ¼ cup
- Green chilli – 1 finely chopped OR red chilli pwdr as required
- Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Oil for shallow fry
PREPARATION
Boil 1 ¼ cup water , break the raw maggi noodles and put it in the boiling water together with the masala given in the pkt. Cook on medium till water dries up completely. Allow it to cool.[The noodles should be cooked well [not mushy ] ,so that its easy to mix ]
Tear the bread slices and grind it into coarse powder not very fine. [ remember we don’t want bread crumbs ] We are using FRESH bread instead of mashed potato or any flour for binding. We require 1 or 1 ½ cup of this bread pwdr. If you don’t have bread then use 1 cup of mashed potato.
METHOD .
In a big plate take the noodles + bread pwdr + onion + coriander leaves + salt + cheese + chopped chilli + chaat masalapwdr and mix well gently.
Divide into equal portions and roll them into balls.
Now flatten each ball into small patties.
If time permits, keep in fridge for sometime.
Shallow fry the cutlets till golden brown on each side .
Serve hot with green chutney and sauce or as a stuffing in sandwich .
NOTES
- Instead of bread ,you can used mashed potato or cornflour or besan .
- As I boiled the noodles together with its masalas , I did not add any other extra spices.
- You can boil the noodles in plain water without masala , then later add spices of your taste – refer to my other recipes.
- You can also add cooked green peas or grated carrot.
- Always while making cutlets or patties or nuggets ,refrigerate for sometime before frying.
