Paneer afghani gravy
PANEER AFGHANI GRAVY / VEG AFGANI GRAVY
“Paneer is loaded with healthy fats, proteins and are very low on carbs. It is excellent for weight loss and diabetics. You can have them raw, or cook them in healthy way.
INGREDIENTS
- 250 or 300 grms of paneer or 2 cups of stir fried veges like [ green peas /beans /potato /cauliflower /carrot /capsicum /makhana ]
- 1/2 cup fresh cream or malai
- 1/2 cup fresh beaten curd
- 1 or 2 tsp lemon juice
- 2 or 3 tbsp of oil + butter
- 2 tsp ginger garlic paste
- 1 small onion
- 10 or 12 cashews
- 4 or 5 green chillies
- 1 cup fresh coriander leaves
- 1 tsp chaat masala
- 3/4 tsp garam masala powder
- 1 tsp kasuri methi
- Salt to taste

METHOD
Make a fine paste of all the ingredients except oil and paneer /veges .Add ¼ cup water while grinding .
Heat oil + butter in a pan.
Add the masala paste and cook for 4 to 5 mins on medium flame till oil separates .
Add ½ or 1 cup water or as needed for the consistency you want
Once it starts boiling add the paneer / fried veges and mix well.
Simmer for a minute and off the flame .
Serve hot with any Indian bread items or rice variety .
