Aloo chaat
ALOO CHAAT
INGREDIENTS FOR FRIED ALOO
- Boiled potato – 1 big OR 5 cooked baby potatoes
- Chilli pwdr – ½ tsp
- Roasted jeera pwdr – ¼ tsp
- Amchur pwdr – a pinch
- Chaat masala – ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying or shallow frying
METHOD
Peel the boiled potato and chop it into small cubes OR peel the baby potatoes and halve it into 2.
Either deep fry or shallow fry or stir fry the potatoes till golden brown and crispy.
Take the fried potatoes + chilli pwdr +jeera pwdr + amchur pwdr + chaat masala + salt and mix well till the potatoes are coated all over.
ASSEMBLING THE ALOO CHAAT
INGREDIENTS
- Crispy aloo as above
- Sweet chutney
- Green chutney
- Garlic chutney [ optional ]
- Thick beaten fresh curd as required
- Chaat masala
- Finely chopped onion [optional ]
- Finely chopped coriander leaves
- Fine nylon sev
METHOD
Take the fried potatoes in a plate .
Add the thick curd .
Add all the 3 chutneys as per taste.
Add finely chopped onion .
Drizzle few drops of lemon juice .
Sprinkle little chaat masala
Add the sev all over .
Finally garnish with coriander leaves and serve immediately.
NOTES
- It has to be served immediately or the crispy potatoes will become soggy
- The chutney goes as per your preference ,what you want more and what you want less ,so adjust accordingly.
- For crunchiness you can add some crushed papdi to it .
- I have also added boiled chana.
