Dal toast / Dal sandwich / Moong dal sandwich
DAL SANDWICH / ULHASNAGAR DAL SANDWICH
INGREDIENTS
- Moong dal – 1 cup
- Turmeric – ¼ tsp
- Salt
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Hing – a pinch

Clean ,wash ,rinse and soak the dal for 15 mis.
Pressure cook the dal with salt + turmeric + hing.
Mash the dal well .
Add hot water, if the dal is very thick .
The dal has to be of medium thick consistency .
HOW TO ASSEMBLE

- Green chutney
- Chaat masala
- black pepper pwdr
- red chilli pwdr
- coriander pwdr
- finely chopped onion
- finely chopped coriander leaves
- Khara boondi
- Nylon sev
METHOD
Place the toasted veg sandwich on a plate .
Pour hot dal over the toasted sandwich .
Now top it with all the other ingredients one by one as per taste.
Serve immediately .
NOTE
You can also temper the dal with ghee + red chilli pwdr + coriander pwdr + garam masala pwdr .
Dal sandwich is like a one pot meal .
It has to be spicy .
You can make any toast sandwich with just potato or mix veg.
