Eggless walnut brownie
EGGLESS WALNUT BROWNIE
INGREDIENTS
- 1 1/2 cup–plain flour / maida
- 3 tbsp – Cocoa pwdr
- ½ tsp – Baking pwdr
- ½ tsp – Baking soda
- 4 tbsp – Butter
- 200 gms – Milkmaid/condensed milk
- 4 tbsp – Sugar [ powdered ]
- ½ cup – Chopped walnuts
- ¾ cup – Hot milk
- 1/2 cup – Dark chocolate [ small pieces so that it melts fast]
- ½ tsp – Vanilla essence
PREPARATION :-
- Melt the dark chocolate – take a small bowl put in the dark chocolate and hot milk and mix well till the chocolate melts into a smooth sauce.Keep aside to cool.
- Grease the baking tin with butter and sprinkle flour evenly on all sides of the tin. We have to use flat rectangle or square tins for baking brownies .I don’t have so used my regular baking cake tins .
- Sieve together the flour+ baking soda + cocoa pwdr + baking pwdr twice.
- Preheat oven [180*C] convection mode.
METHOD
In a big bowl put the butter and sugar and beat well with a hand beater until smooth and creamy.[2 – 3 mins]
Add the condensed milk and vanilla essence and beat again for 2-3mins.
Add the melted chocolate and beat .
Add the flour and mix well for 2-3 mins with a spatula in the same direction. [****after adding the flour don’t beat ,use a spatula to mix well without aby lumps ]
Mix in the walnut.
Pour the batter in the tin and tap it .
Bake it in preheated oven for 35 – 40 mins [ 180 *C ] convection mode.
Remove the cake and allow it to cool for 5 – 10 mins.
Move a knife around the edges of the tin.
Invert the tin over a plate, tap it and remove the tin.
Cake is ready to serve
This can be baked in cooker / pan / kadai /tava .

SIZZLING BROWNIE AT HOME –
Note
- Walnut can be mixed together in the batter or spread on top of the batter.
- Baking time depends on the size of the tin. If wide then less time .
- Keep checking the cake after 30 mins. [use a tooth prick or a knife , insert and check ]
- Instead of walnut you can use roasted almonds.
- Instead of mixing the walnut in batter ,you can sprinkle on the top as shown in the video .
- You can also bake the batter in muffin pan . [baking time will be less]
- Baking time depends on the size of the tin. Bigger the tin lesser the time as the thickness of the batter level reduces.
