HIGH PROTEIN SUGAR FREE BARS

Protein bars can be a convenient way to add , protein, vitamins, and minerals to your diet. Also, they may curb appetite, fuel a workout, or support muscle repair after exercise. They  provide the post-workout nutrition your body requires to build new muscle tissue, fixing whatever minute muscle tears occurred in the course of your exercise.

BENEFITS OF SATTU FLOUR –

Sattu is a superfood made usually with roasted black chickpeas (Kala chana) & is high in fiber & protein. It helps keep the body hydrated & helps in avoiding sunstrokes. Consume sattu as a drink, a stuffing, in batter, with cereals, or even use it in desserts.

Sattu is high in fibre and protein, which can offer many benefits for weight loss and health. Since sattu also contains many essential vitamins and minerals like potassium and magnesium, it reduces bloating, boosts metabolism and helps the body burn calories effectively.

It is rich in protein. 100 grams of sattu can provide approximately 20 grams of vegan protein that further helps in muscle growth and repair.

BENEFITS OF OATS

Oats is a whole-grain cereal . Oats are among the healthiest grains on earth. They’re a gluten-free whole grain and a great source of important vitamins, minerals, fiber and antioxidants. Studies show that oats and oatmeal have many health benefits. These include weight loss, lower blood sugar levels and a reduced risk of heart disease.

100 grams of oats provide around 389 calories of energy. Oats are rich in essential nutrients and minerals like thiamine, zinc, magnesium, iron, manganese, phosphorus and selenium. A bowl of oatmeal provides a substantial part of the body’s daily requirement of fibre, essential fatty acids, vitamin E and protein.

BENEFITS OF DATES

Dates are basically tropical fruits that are grown on date palm trees.

Dates may have some really powerful health benefits like boosting energy, increasing iron in the body, and aiding digestion. Rich in various nutrients, fiber, and antioxidants, dates are popular throughout the world. These dried fruits may prove to be beneficial in treating various conditions due to their anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and anti-tumor properties.

BENEFITS OF GHEE

Ghee is a rich source of vitamins, antioxidants, and healthy fats. While fat should be consumed in moderation, studies show that eating fatty foods such as ghee can help the body absorb some essential vitamins and minerals. Cooking healthy foods and vegetables with ghee may help you absorb more nutrients.

INGREDIENTS

  • Soft dates – ¾  cup
  • Sattu flour – 1 cup [ homemade or store bought ]
  • Oats – ½ cup
  • Roasted Badam / Roasted peanuts – ¼ cup
  • Ghee – 3 or 4 tbsp

METHOD

Blend the oats + badam  into fine powder .

Deseed the dates and blend it

Heat ghee in a thick bottom pan .

Add the dates and mix well.

Stire and cook till loose.

Now add the sattu flour  + oats + almond powder

Mix well .

Stir and cook for a min till all blends well .

Transfer it to a greased tray or plate.

Spread it evenly and smoothen it from top.

Let it set for few hours .

Slice it into desired shape and size . We can also make ladoos .

Store in an air tight container and use .

The best time to enjoy a protein bar is pre or post workout. Before hand a protein bar can help to boost your performance and after it will contribute to muscle repair and growth.
