CURRY LEAVES DOSA / KARIVEPILLAI DOSAI

Chewing raw curry leaves or drinking a cup of curry leaves tea every day can prevent weight gain and reduce body cholesterol. It helps in cleansing the body by flushing out harmful toxins from the body. It also helps in burning unwanted fat, thus promoting weight loss.

INGREDIENTS

  • Fermented dosa batter – 4 or 5 cup
  • Fresh curry leaves – 1 cup tightly packed [ roughly 18 to 20 sprigs ]
  • Ginger – a small piece
  • Red chilli – 2 or 3
  • Jeera – 1 tsp

PREPARATION

  1. Make dosa batter and ferment it – Perfect dosa recipe
  2. Pluck the curry leaves  and wash it .
  3. Grind it with ginger + jeera + red chilli  into fine paste by adding 2 or 3 tbsp water as needed.[ don’t add excess water ]

METHOD

Add the curry leaves puree into the dosa batter and mix well.

Adjust salt if needed.

Heat a pan .

When hot rub some oil and then wipe it with wet cloth .

Pour a big ladle of batter on the hot pan and spread it .

Spread it thick oif you want uttapa and spread it thin if you want crispy dosa .

Drizzle ghee / oil as needed.

Now flip and cook on the other side also.

Remove and serve.

Serve hot with any side accompanimants like chutney / sambar etc.

Curry leaves are a rich source of iron and folic acid. Folic acid is mainly responsible for carrying and helping the body absorb iron, and since kadi patta is a rich source of both the compounds it is your one-stop natural remedy to beat anaemia.

Prevents greying of hair – Kadi patta has always been known to help in preventing greying of the hair. It is also very effective in treating damaged hair, adding bounce to limp hair, strengthening the shaft of thin hair, hair fall and treats dandruff.
