Cheese corn potato balls

                                                                     CHEESE CORN POTATO BALLS

INGREDIENTS

  • Mashed potato – 2 cup
  • Fresh bread slices – 2 or 3
  • Corn – 1 ½ cup
  • Grated cheese – 3 cubes or more
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves – 2 tbsp or more
  • Chilli flakes – as required
  • Pepper pwdr – as required
  • Oregano – as required [ optional ]
  • Salt as per tastes
  • Oil to deep fry
CHEESE CORN POTATO BALLS

PREPARATION

  1. Boil the potatoes , peel and mash it well into a smooth dough.
  2. Blend the bread slices into powder.
  3. Either buy separated corn kernels or full corn . Boil it . If boiling the corn then slice it with a knife as shown in the pic.

METHOD

Take the mashed potato in a big plate.

Add the bread pwdr + salt + pepper pwdr and knead it well into a soft dough.

Divide it into equal portions and roll it into  ball.[ if time provides keep in fridge for sometime ]

Make a mixture of corn + chilli fakes + cheese + coriander leaves + oregano .No need to add salt as we are adding cheese.[ keep in fridge for sometime ]

Take a potato ball and flatten it with your hands. [ not very thick ]

Spoon in the mixture of corn in the centre.

Bring the edges of the potato together and roll it into a ball.

Heat oil in a kadai.

Deep fry the balls on medium flame till golden brown by turning it .[ don’t burn it ]

Serve hot with sauce.

NOTES

  1. You can also add finely chopped capsicum together with the corn.
  2. Adjust the quantity of ingredients as per your taste
  3. You can also dip the balls in cornflour batter , roll it in dry bread crumbs pwdr and deep fry it.
  4. More the cheese better the taste.

                                              Here I have coated it with bread crumbs and also added capsicum
