Chinese bhel

INGREDIENTS

  • Fried noodles – 3 or 4 cup
  • Oil -1 tbsp
  • Finely chopped ginger +garlic – 2 tsp [optional]
  • Cabbage thin strips – ½ cup
  • Spring onion white cut length wise -1/2 cup
  • Capsicum cut length wise – ½ cup
  • Carrot grated or thinly chopped in lengthwise – ½ cup
  • Soya sauce – 2 tsp
  • Chilli sauce – 2 tsp [as per taste]
  • Tomato sauce -1 or 2 tbsp as per taste
  • Vinegar – ½ tsp [optional]
  • Spring onion leaves for garnishing – ½ cup
  • Salt to taste

For homemade schezwan sauce –Schezwan sauce recipe

METHOD – 1  [COOKING]

Take oil in a wok or pan

Add the ginger + garlic and saute.

Add one by one onion + carrot + cabbage and stir fry on high flame.

You don’t have to cook it.

It should be half done and crunchy.

Adjust salt.

Add all the sauces + 1 tbsp water and mix well .

Off the flame.

Add in the crispy fried noodles and mix well .

Serve hot or chilled.

METHOD – 2  [ NO COOKING ]

Avoid ginger + garlic.

Mix in all the ingredients with the crispy noodles and serve like indian bhel.

Serve immediately or it will become soggy.

Here you can also add chopped cucumber.

NOTES

  1. You can also add roasted peanuts, sprouts, raw mango ,tomato ,coriander leaves.
  2. You can also use schezwan sauce.
  3. Adjust sauce quantity as per your taste .
  4. You can either cut the veges length wise [ julienned ]or grate them.
  5. Instead of vinegar squeeze lemon.
  6. Taste better when chilled
  7. For Indian flavour garnish with finely chopped coriander leaves.
