DRUMSTICK ALOO CURRY RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • 3 – Drumsticks, peeled and cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 2 – Potatoes, peeled and cut into small chunks
  • 1 – Onions finely chopped
  • 1 tsp – Ginger garlic  paste
  • 2 – Tomatoes pureed
  • 2 or 3 tbsp – Coriander leaves finely chopped
  • 1 ½  tsp or as per taste – Chilli powder
  • 11/2  tsp – Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp – Cumin
  • ½ tsp Mustard
  • ¼  tsp – Turmeric powder
  • ½  tsp – kitchen king masala OR ¼ tsp garam masala powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp – Oil.

METHOD

Heat oil in a pan , add mustard seeds + jeera and let it crackle

Add onion + curry leaves and stir fry till translucent .

Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell leaves .

Add drumstick and potato and mix well.

Stir fry for 2 mins .

Add red chilli pwdr + turmeric + coriander pwdr + kitchen king masala powder + salt and stir fry for a min .

Add tomato puree and mix well.

Stir and cook for 2 mins.

add coriander leaves and give a nice mix .

Add 2 ½ or 3 cup of water and mix well . [ water as per the consistency you want ]

Bring it to a boil .

Cover and cook till the potatoes become soft .

Once done off the flame and garnish with coriander leaves .

Serve hot with rice or rotis .
