Eggless moist chocolate cake recipe

  1.                                                                            EGGLESS MOIST CHOCOLATE CAKE

INGREDIENTS

  • Maida – 1 ½ cup
  • Cocoa pwdr – 3 tbsp
  • Sugar – 1 cup
  • Oil – ¼ cup [any odourless and colourless oil]
  • Baking soda -1 tsp
  • Baking pwdr – 1/2 tsp
  • Lemon juice /vinegar – 1 tbsp
  • Water -1 cup
  • Vanilla essence – ½ tbsp

PREPARATION

1.    Preheat the oven at 180* C.

2.    Grease with oil or butter and dust with flour the baking pan.

3.    Sieve together 3 times the maida + cocoa pwdr + baking soda.

4.    Powder the sugar.

METHOD

Blend together water + sugar + oil + vanilla essence till the sugar melts completely.

Add the vinegar or lemon juice and mix well.

Immediately add the sifted flour and mix well with a spoon.

Pour the watery batter into the greased tin and bake it for 35 – 40 minutes or till the inserted tooth prick comes out clean.[start checking after 30 minutes ]

Allow the cake to cool for 10 minutes ,run a knife around the edges .

Invert the cake on a plate,again allow the cake to cool for sometime before slicing.

I have poured ganache over the cake before serving.

IMP NOTE *

  • After adding the lemon juice or vinegar you have to be quick .Immediately add the flour and bake it.
  • The batter will be watery.
  • You can reduce the water to 3/4 cup ..I have added 1 cup .
