Gavar ki sabji
GAVAR KI SABJI /CLUSTER BEANS IN PEANUT PWDR [ SOUTH INDIAN STYLE ]
INGREDIENTS
- Cluster beans – 250 grms
- Skinless roasted Peanuts – 1/4 cup
- Red chillies – 4 or as per taste
- Turmeric pwdr – ¼ tsp
- Coriander pwdr – 1 tsp
- Garlic crushed – 4
- Mustard seeds + urad dal – 1 tsp
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves – few
- Salt as per taste
PREPARATION
- Cut the ends and remove the strings. Cut it into half or desired size. Cook it in boiling water with little salt till the beans become soft. Discard the water by draining off the excess water. Keep the beans aside.
- Roast the dry chillies.
- Grind the peanuts + turmeric + coriander pwdr + red chilli into coarse pwdr.
METHOD
Heat oil in a pan.
Add mustard seeds + urad dal and let it splutter.
Add crushed garlic + curry leaves and fry for a minute. [ dont burn it ]
Add the peanut pwdr and fry for a min on low flame.
Add the cooked beans.
Adjust salt and mix well.
Stir fry till you see oil traces here and there.
Off the flame.
Serve as side dish.
NOTES.
- Instead of chilli you can use sambar pwdr
- Adjust masalas as per your taste.
- You can try the same recipe with other veges also.
