Instant prawns fry recipe
INSTANT PRAWNS FRY RECIPE
INGREDIENTS
- Prawns cleaned – 1 cup
- Onion chopped – 1
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tsp
- Chilly powder – 1 tsp or as per taste
- Coriander powder – 2 tsp
- Salt as per taste
- Oil – 1 tbsp
- Lemon optional
- Coriander leaves chopped
- Curry leaves few
METHOD
Remove the shell, clean ,wash ,devein, again wash and drain the excess water of the prawns.
If time provides marinate with little salt and turmeric powder .
Heat oil in a pan , add the onion and saute till light brown.
Add ginger garlic paste and fry till raw smell leaves.
Add the prawns and stir well .
Cover with a lid and cook for 2 minutes on medium flame till they sweat. [ leave water].
Once it sweats , open the lid and cook till it is done and all the water evaporates.
*** Hardly takes few mins to cook .
Lower the flame and add coriander pwder + turmeric pwdr + chilly pwder + salt and stir well for a min till it becomes little dark and oil separates.
Turn off the heat .
Squeeze few drops of lemon [optional] and garnish with the coriander leaves and curry leaves.
Serve with rotis , chapatis , bread , plain rice , pav etc or hav it plain as starter.
NOTES
- You can also add tomato, garam masala pwdr.
- Prawns cook faster so don’t over cook it or it will become rubbery.
- Here I have not added water , it cooks in its own water.If you want you can drizzle few drops of water.
