EASY AND TASTY DAHI PANEER GRAVY RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Paneer cubes – 300 grms
  • Capsicum cubes – ½ cup [ optional ]
  • Fresh curd – 1 cup , not very sour
  • Fresh cream – ½ cup
  • Oil + butter – 2 tbsp
  • Ginger garlic green chilli paste – 1 tbsp
  • Red chilli pwdr – 1 ½   tsp or as per taste
  • Kitchen king masala – 1 tsp
  • Garam masala pwdr– ½ tsp
  • Coriander powder – 2 tsp
  • Jeera pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Turmeric – ¼ tsp
  • Chaat masala – ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Sugar – 1 tsp or as per taste
  • Tomato ketchup – 2 tsp
  • Kasoori methi – 2 or 3 tsp

NOTE – You can add orange tandoori colour for restaurant kind colour ..

PREPARATION

Take chilli pwdr + kitchen king masala + turmeric + coriander pwdr + garam masala in a bowl . Add 1/4 cup water and mix well 

Whisk the curd + cream together and keep aside.

METHOD

Heat oil + butter in a pan .

If adding capsicum , stir fry for a min and remove. You can also fry the paneer – optional .

Drain and remove

Now add ginger garlic paste and stir fry till raw smell leaves .

Add masala paste and stir fry till oil releases

Add kasoori methi + ketchup and mix well

Let it come to a boil .

[ IMP TIP – taste and chk the gravy and adjust sugar /ketchup /kasoorimethi accordingly for the restauarant kind taste ]

Add the curd + cream mixture and mix well.

Add ½ or ¾ cup hot water and mix well.

Adjust salt to taste .

Bring it to a boil on medium flame .

Cover and cook for 4 to 5 mins on low to medium flame.

Add paneer cubes + capsicum and give a gentle mix.

Simmer for a min , mix and off the flame .

Serve with any Indian bread items or rice items .

NOTE – Same recipe you can try with chicken , instead of paneer piece add chicken tikka pieces or boiled eggs or fried mix veges  ]
