Stuffed green chilli recipe
STUFFED GREEN CHILLI RECIPE
Mirchi fry recipe | stuffed green chilli fry | bharwan mirchi fry recipe with detailed photo recipe. A simple spicy stir fried green chillies or hari mirch based snack recipe which is also used as side dish to main meals. these stuffed chillies are prepared from stuffing the paneer based spice mix to green chillies and the pan fried until crisp.
INGREDIENTS
- Big green chillies – 8 or 10
- Paneer grated – ½ cup
- Cheese grated – 2 cubes
- Finely chopped coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
- Chaat masala – ½ tsp
- Chilli pwdr or pepper pwdr as per taste
- Salt as per taste
- Salt to rub inside the chillies
- Oil – 2 tbsp
PREPARATION
- Wash and pat dry the chillies. Trim the stem if you want. Slit the chillies in the centre and scoop out the seeds and discard it. Wash wand rub salt inside and keep aside for sometime.
- Make a mixture of paneer + cheese + coriander leaves + chilli pwdr + salt + chaat masala
METHOD
Stuff the chillies with the paneer mixture.
Heat oil in a pan.
Place the chillies in the pan with the slit part on top.
Cover and cook for 5 -6 minutes till the chillies change colour on medium low flame.
Don’t turn over as the mixture will come out and absorb oil.
Remove on a absorbent paper.
Serve as side dish.
VARIATIONS
- We can use different stuffing like of gram flour or peanut or coconut.
- We can also microwave it.

NOTES
- Add masala as per your taste.
- We can also add garam masala or amchur pwdr or cumin pwdr etc.
- You can also add finely chopped onion.
- You can also use butter to fry.
- You can also tie a thread around to keep the stuffing intact.
- After frying you can top it with grated cheese and microwave it for the cheese to melt.
