HARIYALI MATAR POHA RECIPE / GREEN PEAS POHA RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Poha -2 cup
  • Coriander leaves – 1 cup
  • Mint leaves – ¼ cup
  • Ginger – small piece
  • Garlic – 3 or 4
  • Jaggery- 1 tsp
  • Green chilli – 3 or as per taste
  • Lemon juice – 2 tsp
  • Oil –  1 ½ tbsp
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tsp  
  • Jeera – ½ tsp
  • Onion – 1
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Green peas frozen – ½ cup

METHOD

Rinse poha in a colander under running water 2-3 times until they soften, and then drain out all the water.Cover and keep it aside.

Grind coriander leaves + mint leaves+ ginger + garlic + green chilli + jaggery + lemon juice  + salt into a smooth paste by adding 2 or 3 tbsp water.

Heat oil in a pan on medium flame, Crackle mustard seeds + jeera.

Add onion + curry leaves and stir fry till translucent .

Add green peas and stir fry for a min .

Add the paste  and mix well. Adjust salt if needed.

Stir fry till oil separates.

Now add soaked poha and mix everything gently.

Cover and cook for 1 min on low flame.

garnish with coriander leaves, mix well, and serve hot.

While serving top it with onion + peanut + lemon juice.
