Baking cake without oven recipe
BAKING CAKE WITHOUT OVEN IN A PAN
INGREDIENTS
- Maida – 2 cup
- Sugar – 1 cup granulated
- Fresh cream – 1 cup
- Milk pwdr – 1 cup [nestle or any]
- Warm milk – 1 cup
- Vanilla essence – 1 tsp
- Baking soda – 1 tsp
PREPARATION [before you start keep all the ingredients ready as shown in pic]
- Grind the sugar into fine pwdr.
- Grease and dust the baking tin
- Preheat the baking pan on stove for 10 mins on low flame or 5 mins on medium flame.
- ******My pan was heavy bottom,you can use a regular pan or handi ,just place a tava below.
METHOD
Sieve maida + sugar + milk pwdr 2 times.
To the sieved flour add fresh cream + milk + essence and whisk it well so that all the ingredients mix well and no lumps are formed.
To this add the baking soda and mix well.Once you add the baking soda,dont delay immediately put it for baking
Pour the batter in the greased tin and tap it .
Bake it for 30 -35 mins on very low flame in a cooker without whistle and rubber or in a pot as shown in the pics below or in a preheated oven at 180*.
VARIATION–
TRICOLOUR CAKE
Divide the batter into 3 parts.
In one part add orange colour ,other add green and the third part leave it plain .
First pour the green colour batter ,then the plain batter and finally the orange batter.
BAKING IN A POT OR ANY THICK BOTTOM VESSEL WITH A LID
1 – Preheat the pan/pot on medium flame for 5 minutes or low flame for 10 mins.Preheating means to heat the pot ,before you start baking.The pot has to be hot when you place the batter inside.
2 – Place the stand without touching the sides of the pot. No need to add water or anything.It has to be empty.
3 – Place the batter tin on the stand without touching the sides of the pan with a pot holder.Be careful as the pot is hot.
4 – Close the lid and bake for 30 -35 minutes on very low flame.
5 – After 30 minutes insert a tooth prick or knife in the center of the cake.If it comes out clean .the cake is done or bake for some more time [5 min]
6 – Once done remove the tin with a pot holder and allow it to cool.
7 – Run a knife through the edge of the cake to loosen it .Invert it on a plate.
8 – Soft ,spongy cake is ready,allow it to cool before cutting it.
9 – Once it cools ,slice it
10 – Enjoy
11 – Pot after baking.No harm done,it will be as it was.
