CRISPY BAKED PURAN POLIS RECIPE

Puran poli, Puran puri, Holige, Obbattu, or Bobbattlu, Poley, Bakshamulu, Boli, is an Indian sweet flatbread that originates from South India and Maharashtra.

Today we are giving a twist to this recipe .We will be using the same ingredients.

INGREDIENTS

  • Puranpoli stuffing – as needed
  • Make small rotis from puran poli dough or use regular rotis
  • Maida slurry – 2 tbsp flour + ¼ cup wate r
  • Ghee as needed
  • Thinly sliced badam / pista for garnish
  • Rose essence sugar syrup or honey as needed

METHOD FOR ASSEMBLING

Take the chapati and place the puran as shown in the video .

Now shape it as shown in the video or you can give any momos shape .

Pack it using the slurry .

Preheat the oven at 180 * .

Brush the puran poli wontons with ghee .

Arrange on a baking tray .

Bake it for 8 to  10  mins till golden and crisp .

Once done , remove and allow to cool .

Serve directly or glaze it with honey / rose essence sugar syrup .

Garnish with dry fruits as needed .
