INGREDIENTS
- Boneless chicken – 500 grms [ preferably thigh portion ]
- Turmeric – ¼ tsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil – 1 or 2 tbsp
- Onion thinly sliced – 1 big
- Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves – few
- Freshly ground pepper pwdr – 1 tbsp or as per taste
- Coriander pwdr – 1tsp
- Fennel seeds pwdr – ½ tsp
- Jeera pwdr – ½ tsp
- Chaat masala – ¼ tsp
- Garam masala – ½ tsp
- Soya sauce – 1 or 2 tsp [ optional ]
- Finely chopped coriander leaves for garnish
- Lemon juice as required
PREPARATION
- Clean , wash , rinse the chicken and chop into small pieces .
- Drain out the excess water.
- Add turmeric + little salt , mix well and keep aside for minimum 15 mins or more .
METHOD
Heat oil in a pan .
Add onion+ curry leaves + green chilli and stir fry till light brown .
Add ginger garlic paste and stir fry till raw smell leaves .
Add chicken and stir fry for 1 min .
Cover and cook for mins .the chicken will sweat [ release water]
Now open the lid and mix well.
Stir and cook till 7 to 8 mins.
Add the masala pwdrs and mix well .
Stir and cook for 1 or 2 mins .
Add the soya sauce , give a nice mix and off the flame.
Finally garnish with coriander leaves .
While serving drizzle lemon juice .
Goes well as a starter .
NOTE –
Adjust masalas as per taste .
