Easy stir fried pepper chicken

INGREDIENTS

  • Boneless chicken – 500 grms [ preferably thigh portion ]
  • Turmeric – ¼ tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil – 1 or 2 tbsp
  • Onion thinly sliced – 1 big
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Freshly ground pepper pwdr – 1 tbsp or as per taste
  • Coriander pwdr – 1tsp
  • Fennel seeds pwdr – ½  tsp
  • Jeera pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Chaat masala – ¼  tsp
  • Garam masala – ½ tsp
  • Soya sauce – 1 or 2 tsp [ optional ]
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves for garnish
  • Lemon juice as required

PREPARATION

  1. Clean , wash , rinse the chicken and chop into small pieces .
  2. Drain out the excess water.
  3. Add turmeric + little salt , mix well and keep aside for minimum 15 mins or more .

METHOD

Heat oil in a pan .

Add onion+ curry leaves + green chilli  and stir fry till light brown .

Add ginger garlic paste and stir fry till raw smell leaves .

Add chicken and stir fry for 1 min .

Cover and cook for mins .the chicken will sweat [ release water]

Now open the lid and mix well.

Stir and cook till 7 to 8 mins.

Add the masala pwdrs and mix well .

Stir and cook for 1 or 2 mins .

Add the soya sauce ,  give a nice mix and off the flame.

Finally garnish with coriander leaves .

While serving drizzle lemon juice .

Goes well as a starter .

NOTE –

Adjust masalas as per taste .
