KARELA KI SABJI

INGREDIENTS

  • Karela – 250 grms
  • Oil – 1 + 1 tbsp
  • Jeera – 1 tsp
  • Onion – 1
  • Tomato – 1
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Red chilli powder – 1 tsp or as per taste
  • Turmeric -1/4 tsp
  • Sambar pwdr – 1 tsp
  • Jaggery – ½ tsp
  • Coriander leaves

METHOD

Wash and wipe the karela.

Slice it and discard the seeds.

Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan , add the karela and mix well.

Cover and cook for few mins till it is soft .

In the same , heat 1 tbsp spoon and crackle the jeera.

Add onions + curry leaves and stir fry till translucent.

Add tomato + salt and mix well.

Cook till oil separates.

Add masala pwdrs + jaggery and mix well.

Cook for few seconds and add the karela and mix weill.

Cook for a min and off the flame.

Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot as a side dish.
