SAFFRON IDLI / KESAR IDLI RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

Idli batter as neede

few saffron soaked in 1 or 2 tsp hot water for sometime

METHOD

Add the soaked saffron water to well fermented idli bater and mix well.
Mix the batter gently, without disturbing the air pockets.
Grease the idli plate with oil and pour the batter.
Steam the idli for 10 minutes or until the toothpick inserted comes out clean.
Finally, enjoy soft saffron idli with chutney and sambar.
