EASY MUTTON MASALA IN COOKER

INGREDIENTS

  • Mutton – 1 kg
  • Curd – 3/4 cup
  • Oil – 3 or 4 tbsp
  • Onion sliced – 4
  • Green chilli – 2
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 ½ tbsp
  • Red chilli pwdr –  2 tsp or as per taste
  • Turmeric – ½ tsp
  • Garam masala pwdr  – 1 tsp
  • Coriander pwdr
  • Jeera pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Fennel pwdr / saunf pwdr – 1 tsp
  • Pepper pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Salt to taste

METHOD

Clean, wash and rinse the mutton . Keep aside in a strainer.

Take the mutton + ginger garlic paste + salt +masala pwdr + curd and keep aside for minimum 1 hr or more in fridge.

Heat oil in a cooker.

Add onions + green chilli + curry leaves and stir fry till brown.

Add the mutton and mix well.

Adjust salt .

Stir and cook for 5 mins.

Add ½ or 1 cup water.

Mix well and close the cooker.

Pressure cook for 5 to 6 whistles OR pressure cook on medium flame for 1 whistle and then lower the flame to lowest and cook for 12 to 15 mins . [ cooking time depends on the size of the mutton pieces .

Let the pressure release. Open and give a stir.

Garnish with coriander leaves .

Serve with lemon slices.
