Bread stuffed omelette
BREAD STUFFED OMELETTE
INGREDIENTS
- Bread slices – 2 [ cut the sides ]
- Egg – 2
- Finely chopped onion – 2 tbsp
- Finely chopped coriander leaves
- Green chilli finely chopped -1
- Oil – ½ tbsp
- Grated cheese as required
- Chilli flakes as required
- Oregano or chaat masala – a pinch
PREPARATION
- Chop off the edges of the bread .
- Crack open the egg in a bowl add 1 tbsp water or milk and whisk well ,
- Add onion + coriander + chilli + salt and mix it well.
METHOD
Heat oil in a pan .
Pour the egg mixture and swirl the pan to spread the mixture all over .
Turn the flame to low.
Once you see the top portions little cooked, place one bread slice in the centre. [ you can even flip over before placing the bread but it will be delicate ]
Top the bread slice with grated cheese .
Sprinkle chaat masala or oregano + chilli flakes + coriander leaves .
Place the other bread slice over it .
Now bring all the edges one by one towards the centre like an envelope.
Flip it and cook for few seconds.
Serve hot with any sauce or even chutney of your choice.
NOTE .
- Cook the omelette on medium low flame .
- You can also add veges like capsicum ,tomato ,mushroom etc.
