CURD OATS RECIPE / THAYIR OATS

Oats is a healthy super food  high in fibre and low in fat making it a wonderful substitute against complex carbs. Regular consumption of oats is suppose to lower the bad cholesterol and aid in weight loss as well. Since, this recipe uses minimal spices, it is lighter on the tummy as well. Serve this delicious Curd Oats Recipe for a light lunch / dinner.

INGREDIENTS

  • ½   cup oats
  • 2 tsp chia seeds[ optional ]
  • 1 ½  cup curd
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 tsp grated ginger
  • Finely chopped green chilli as per taste
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ cup carrot, cucumber, pomegranate seeds ,onion
  • 2 tbsp coriander leaves

TO TEMPER [ OPTIONAL ]
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds + urad dal
1 tbsp peanut / cashew
Few curry leaves

METHOD

Take oats + chia seeds + curd + milk and mix well.

Keep it over night or 4 to 5 hrs in fridge.

After soaking mix it well.

Adust the consistency by adding more milk or curd.

Add all the other ingredients and mix well.

Curd oats is ready to serve .

You can serve it plain or temper it .
