Eggless sooji cake

SOOJI CAKE RECIPE

EGGLESS SOOJI CAKE

INGREDIENTS

  • Fine sooji – ¾ cup  [sieved ]
  • Maida – ¼ cup  [ sieved ]
  • Curd fresh at room temperature – ¼ cup
  • Sugar powdered – ½ cup
  • Oil – ¼ cup
  • Milk – ½ cup
  • Baking pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Baking soda – ¼  tsp
  • Tutti frutti – ¼ cup [ dust it with 1 tsp flour ]
  • Any essence of your choice – ½ tsp

METHOD

Take sooji and maida in a mixing bowl and keep aside.

Take sugar in mixie jar and blend into pwdr .

Now add curd and blend well .

Add oil and blend .

Add ¼ milk and blend well .

Add this wet mixture into the sooji and maida bowl and mix well .

Cover and keep aside for 30 mins .

After 30 mins the sooji will absorb all the moisture and become thick in consistency .

Preheat the oven at 180*

Add ¼ cup milk to the sooji mixture and give a nice mix to the batter .

Add baking soda + baking pwdr + tuitty and mix well .

Bake in preheated oven for 35 to 40 mins .

Baking time depends on the width of the tin , wider the tin  lesser the baking time.

Once done allow to cool .

Run a knife around the edges of the tin to loosen the cake .

Cake is ready to serve .

Slice it and serve .
