HEALTHY GREEN PEAS SOUP RECIPE /MATAR SOUP RECIPE

Peas are a good source of vitamins C and E, zinc, and other antioxidants that strengthen your immune system. Other nutrients, such as vitamins A and B and coumestrol, help reduce inflammation and lower your risk of chronic conditions, including diabetes, heart disease, and arthritis.

For starters, not only they are an excellent source of folate, manganese, dietary fibre and protein, but they can also help you lose those extra kilos when used strategically. This one is a no-brainer. Since peas are rich in fibre, they keep you feeling fuller for a longer duration of time.

INGREDIENTS

  • Green peas – 1 cup
  • Coriander leaves / palak – ½ cup
  • Garlic finley minced – 1 tbsp
  • Butter – 1 or 2 tsp
  • Onion thinly sliced – 1
  • Clove – 1
  • Cinnamon – tiny piece
  • Bayleaf – 1
  • Salt to taste
  • Water

METHOD

Heat butter in a cooker.

Add cinnamon + clove + bayleaf and give a mix.

Add onion and garlic and stir fry till brown .

Add green pas + coriander leaves and stir fry for a min .

Add 2 cup water + salt and give a mix.

Pressure cook upto 3 to 4 whistles .

Once the pressure releases , open and discard the cinnamon,clove and bayleaf.

Blend it smooth.

Strain it.

Adjust milk or water as needed .

Bring to a boil.

Off the flame.

Serve hot .

Sprinkle pepper pwdr as needed while having.

NOTE- instead of green peas use any other veges like only palak/mushroom/cabbage/cauliflower/potato /etc
