HIBISCUS TEA RECIPE

Hibiscus tea has several potential health benefits, including lowering blood pressure, lowering  bad cholesterol, and aiding in weight management.

Hibiscus is considered safe when consumed in moderate amounts .

any edible flower can be used to make a tea, but they may not all taste good! It is easy to make a tea whether using dried or fresh flowers.

INGREDIENTS

  • 10 – 12 fresh hibiscus flower
  • 2 cup water
  • Honey to taste
  • Lemon juice as needed .

METHOD

Pick fresh hibiscus flowers.
Pull all the petals from the flowers.
Rinse well in water to remove any dust, bugs or impurities.

Boil water in a pan .

Add the flowers and boil it for a min .

The flowers colour will fade.

Mix well.

The colour of the tea will be purple at this stage.

Strain and mix in honey .

Now mix in lemon juice , the colour of the tea will become red .

 Tea is ready to be served hot or cold .
