Mooli ka paratha without stuffing
MOOLI / RADISH KA PARATHA WITHOUT STUFFING
Radishes are rich in antioxidants and minerals like calcium and potassium. Together, these nutrients help lower high blood pressure and reduce your risks for heart disease. The radish is also a good source of natural nitrates that improve blood flow.1
INGREDIENTS
- Wheat flour – 2 cup
- Grated mooli / radish – 1 cup [ squeeze if there is excess water ]
- Finely chopped coriander leaves – 1/4 cup
- Red chilli pwdr – 1/2 tsp or as per taste
- Ginger garlic green chilli paste – 1 tbsp
- Chaat masala – 1/2 tsp
- roasted jeera pwdr – 1/2 tsp
- Garam masala pwdr – 1/2 tsp
- Salt to taste –
- Oil – 1 tsp for kneading the dough
- Ghee/ oil for roasting
PREPARATION
- Take flour + grated mooli + coriander leaves + chilli pwdr + chaat masala + roasted jeera pwdr + garam masala pwdr + ginger garlic green chilli paste salt + 1 tsp oil and mix well hands till all ingredients blend well.
- Gradually add water if required and knead it into a soft dough .Be quick once the dough is ready .
METHOD
Divide the dough into equal portions .
Roll each portion into a smooth ball.
Heat a tava /pan .
Roll each portions into circles ,by dusting flour .
Place it on the hot tava , flip and cook it on both the sides .
Smear little ghee or oil on both the sides
Cook till brown spots appear.
Parathas are ready to be served.
Serve with pickle / curd /chutneys /raita /etc etc of your choice .
I served with Rajkot peanut chutney .
NOTES
- **** Squeeze the excess juice from the grated mooli so that the dough doesn’t become loose .
- Don’t rest the dough ,as the mooli can leave water and make the dough loose.
- Adjust masalas /spices as per taste.
- Its must to add ginger garlic paste and garam masala to eliminate the smell of mooli .
