WHEAT MOMOS
Momo is a type of East and South Asian steamed filled dumpling. Momos are native to Southwest Chinese region of Tibet as well as Bhutan, Nepal, North Indian region of Ladakh, Northeast Indian regions of Sikkim, Assam, and Arunachal Pradesh, and East Indian region of Darjeeling.
A simple white-flour-and-water dough is generally preferred to make the outer momo covering. Sometimes, a little yeast or baking is added to give a more doughy texture to the finished product.
Traditionally, momo is prepared with ground/minced meat filling, but in the modern era, this has changed and the fillings have become more elaborate. These days, momo is prepared with virtually any combination of ground meat, vegetables, tofu, paneer cheese, and vegetable and meat combinations.
FOR THE OUTER COVERING INGREDIENTS [ 13 to 15 ]
METHOD
Mix flour + salt +oil.
Add water and need it into a firm [ stiff ] dough, [not very soft and not very hard ]
Apply pressure and knead for 2 to 3 mins.
Cover with a damp cloth and keep it aside for 15 -20 mins.
INGREDIENTS FOR STUFFING
NOTE – If using grated veges ,squeeze the excess water and use .I have used V slicer to finely mice the veges .
METHOD
Take all the stuffing ingredients in a mixing bowl .
After mixing if you feel there is moisture ,then take the stuffing in a thick towel and squeeze the juice .
The stuffing should not be very wet .
MAKING THE MOMOS :-
Divide the dough into small balls.
Roll it into thin circle of 5 inches.
Apply little water on the edges , of half the circle.
Hold it in the palm.
Place in a tbsp of stuffing in the centre.
Bring together the edges by pressing and folding like pleats.
It will look like half moon shape with frilled edges.
Repeat the same process with the remaining dough.
While making the other, cover the readyones with wet cloth.
Place all the the shaped momos on a greased plate.
Steam it in a idli steamer or any regular pan for 20 – 25 mins till they look bit translucent .

METHOD
Make a mixture of all above ingredients .
Brush the marinade all over the steamed momos .
Keep aside for 15 – 20 mins .
Pan fry the momos for few minustes all over .
