AMLA NAMKEEN CANDY RECIPE /SALTED GOOSEBERRY CANDY RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Amla / gooseberry – ½ kg
  • Roasted jeera powder – 1 tsp
  • Roasted ajain pwdr – 1 tsp
  • Black salt – 1 ½  tsp
  • Salt – ¼ tsp
  • Pepper pwdr – ¾ tsp
  • Ginger pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Asafoetida – 1/8 tsp

METHOD

Boil enough water and add the amlas ,cover and  cook for 10 mins on medium flame  .you can also pressure cook .

Drain water and allow to cool .

Deseed and separate segments.

Divide the segments into 2.

Spread on a big plate .

Now add all the spice powder over the amlas and mix well.

Dry under sun for 4 to 6 days depending on weather.

Once it dries there should be no moisture.

Store in an airtight glass jar upto 6 mnths.

NOTE

Adjust spices as per taste.

Slice it thinly so that it dries quickly .
