MANNA HEALTHY FLOUR GUR PAPDI /MULTI GRAIN AND MILLETS GUR PAPDI

INGREDIENTS

  • Manna  flour – 1 cup
  • Ghee –  6 tbsp
  • Fine grated /powdered jaggery – 6 tbsp  
  • Dry ginger  pwdr – ¼ tsp
  • Crushed fennel seeds – 1  tsp
  • Chopped dry fruits for garnish – 1 tbsp

METHOD

Roast the flour + ghee on low flame

Roast till the mixture becomes aromatic . [ 2  mins ]

Off the flame.

Immediately add grated jaggery and keep mixing till the jaggery melts completely and blends with flour mixture.

After 2 or 3 mins, add dry ginger pwdr +  fennnel seeds and mix well.

Now spread the mixture immediately on a greased tray. [ the mixture has to be hot else it will harden ,so be quick at this step ]

Press it gently from the top to get smooth finish using a spatula . spread a butter paper on top while pressing gives smooth finish .

Sprinkle chopped dry fruits all over .

Now slice in any desired shapes , when hot .

Allow to cool .

Now separate the slices when it cools down completely and store in box

Can be stored upto 15 to 20 days

NOTES

The jaggery has to be powdered so that it melts easily .
