PRAWNS BELL PEPPER STIR FRY

Prawns offer several health benefits due to their nutrient-rich profile. They are a great source of lean protein, essential vitamins (B12, B6, Niacin), and minerals (zinc, iodine, selenium). Prawns also contain omega-3 fatty acids, which are beneficial for heart health and can help reduce inflammation. 

INGREDIENTS

  • Cleaned prawns – 300 grms
  • Bell pepper + capsicum sliced – 1 cup
  • Onion sliced – 1 small
  • Finely chopped / minced garlic – 2 tbsp
  • Brown sugar / honey – 1 tsp
  • Salt
  • Pepper pwdr – 1 tsp
  • Mixed herbs / oregano – – 1 tsp
  • Olive oil –  1 ½ tbsp
  • Black soya sauce – 1 ½ or 2 tsp
  • Chilli sauce – 1 tsp
  • Ketchup – 2 tsp
  • Vinegar / lemon juice – 2 tsp

METHOD

Take all ingredients [except prawns ] one by one in a bowl and mix well .

Check the taste of marinade and adjust accordingly .

Add the prawns ,using hands coat the prawns well with the marinade all over.

Cover and keep aside for 30 mins minimum or more or over night in fridge.

More the marination, better the taste and texture.

Heat a grill pan .

Drizzle little oil all over ,add garlic and stir fry for few seconds . .

Add the bell pepper + capsicum + onion and stir fry for 2 mins .

Add little salt + pepper and toss well.

Remove and keep aside.

Again heat some oil , add the marinated prawns and mix well.

Stir fry/ toss and cook till the prawns are done .

Cooking time depends on the size of the prawns .[ 6 to 8 mins ]

Once done add the bell peppers + remaining marinade and toss well.

Serve hot
