SINDHI STYLE CHICKEN CURRY RECIPE

SINDHI STYLE CHICKEN GRAVY RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Chicken with bones – ½  kg
  • Oil – 2 or 3 tbsp
  • Whole garam masala – few cardamom /clove / bayleaf/ star anise/ black cardamom /cinnamon
  • Onion thinly sliced – 3 big
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tbsp
  • Green chill – 2 whole
  • Tomato puree – 2
  • Chilli pwdr – 2 tsp or as per taste
  • Coriander pwdr – 2 tsp
  • Turmeric – ¼ tsp

METHOD

Heat oil in a cooker , add garam masala and give a stir.

Add onions and stir fry till the onions caramelise [ golden brown ] – important step .

Add ginger garlic paste and stir fry till raw smell leaves.

Add tomato puree and stir fry till oil separates.

Add red chilli pwdr , turmeric and coriander pwdr and stir fry for 1 min.

Add the chicken and mix well.

Stir and cook for 2 mins .

Add 1 or 1 ½ cup water + salt and mix .

Pressure cook on medium flame upto 2 whistles and off the flame.

Once done , garnish with coriander leaves and serve .

Goes well with or rice .
