INSTANT ALOO GRAVY WITHOUT ONION , ๐Ÿ… AND GINGER GARLIC IN COOKER / QUICK ALOO CURRY /POORI ALOO SABZI RECIPEย  POORI WALE ALOO RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Medium sized potatoes ๐Ÿฅ” โ€“ 400 – 500 gms ย [ peeled and chopped in small cubes ]
  • Oil- 2 or 3 tbsp
  • Jeera โ€“ 1tsp
  • Red chilli ๐ŸŒถ pwdr โ€“ 11/2 or 2 tsp or as per taste
  • Turmeric pwdr โ€“ ยผ or ยฝ tsp
  • Sugar โ€“ 1 tsp [ optional ]
  • Asafoetida โ€“ a generous pinch
  • Chaat masala pwdr โ€“ 1 tsp
  • Kasuri ๐ŸŒฟ methi โ€“ 1 ยฝ tsp
  • Garam masala pwdr โ€“ ยฝ tsp OR kitchen king masala โ€“ 1 tsp or add pav bhaji masala
  • Salt to taste finely chopped coriander leaves to garnis.

METHOD

Take ยผ cup water ๐Ÿ’ง in a small bowl , add chilli pwdr + asafortida + turmeric + sugar and mix well . keep aside .

Heat oil in cooker and crackle the jeera.

Lower the flame ๐Ÿ”ฅand add the masala paste and stir fry till oil separates .

Add the aloo and mix well .

Stir and cook for a min .

Add 1 cup water ๐Ÿ’ง and ย add salt .

Pressure cook upto 3 to 4 whistles .

Once the pressure release , open and give a mix.

Mash half of the aloo using a ladle .

Now add garam masala pwdr + chaat masala pwdr + kasoori methi and mix well.

Add 1 cup hot water and mix well .Adjust salt if needed.

Mix and simmer on low flame for 1 or 2 mins till oil separates. โ€“

Garnish with chopped coriander leaves. โ€“

Serve as side accompaniment for any Indian breads ๐Ÿž like parathas, ย poori , pav or ย roti.

NOTE

If adding pav bhaji masala add upto 2 to 3 tsp  . and mash the aloo well once it is cooked . would taste similar tp pav bahji and your quick pav bhaji is ready .
