EASY KADHI PAKORA RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Besan – 5 tbsp
  • Curd – 1 cup [ use sour curd ]
  • Water – 1 litre
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
  • Garlic and ginger finely minced – 1 ½  tbsp
  • Dry Red Chillies broken – 2 or 3
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
  • Curry leaves – few
  • Jeera – ½ tsp
  • Asafoetida – ¼ tsp
  • Water – cup
  • Garam Masala Powder – ¼ tsp [ optional ]
  • Salt  as per taste

METHOD [ 1 cup – 25 ml ]

In a big bowl , take besan +  curd + turmeric +  garam masala [ optional ] + 4 cup water  [ 1000 ml ] .

 Mix all ingredients using whisk or hand blender or mixie until smooth batter (ensure that there are no lumps).

Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds +  mustard seeds +  dry red chilli + curry leaves + asafoetida and allow them to crackle.

Add the garlic + ginger and fry well

Add the prepared curd + besan batter in the pan and mix well .

Stir continuously and  bring it to a boil on high flame  .

Now reduce the flame to medium and boil  for 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in between .

Now simmer on low flame for a min . Off the flame .

Adjust salt as required to taste.

Now add the fried onion pakoda in the kadhi and leave it to soak  for 4-5 minutes.

Serve with plain steamed rice or jeera rice.

If the kadhi becomes too thick, then add some hot water.

PAKODAS  RECIPE – you can add any pakodas to this gravy like onion pakora / palak / coriander leaves pakora and yes if you are not in the mood to make pakoras just add plain boondis or besan ka sev and serve ,

SIMPLE PAKORA RECIPE

INGREDIENTS

  • Sieved besan – 1 cup
  • Ginger garlic green chilli  paste – 1 tsp
  • Finely chopped or sliced onions – 1
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves – 2 or 3 tbsp
  • Ajwain – ¼ tsp
  • Generous pinch of turmeric pwdr
  • Baking soda – ¼ tsp or generous pinch
  • Oil for deep frying

METHOD

Mix all ingredients well and make pakoras.
