GAAL KE LADOO | RAJASTHANI PHALODI FAMOUS GAAL KE LADDU | DIWALI SPECIAL RECIPES | WHEAT FLOUR HEALTHY LADDU

Gaal ke laddu is a very famous and traditional sweet of Phalodi , Rajasthan. Prepared with flour [ maida or wheat ] , khoya , ghee and sugar. Dried rose petals are the key ingredient of this recipe.

INGREDIENTS [ instead of 2 flours , we can just make with anyone flour ]

  • Maida – 50 grms
  • Wheat flour – 50 grms
  • Ghee – 100 grm
  • Mawa – 100 grms
  • Water – 100 grms
  • Sugar – 100 grms +100 grms water
  • Dried rose petals – 1 ½  tbsp
  • Dry fruits chopped – 2 tbsp
  • Saffron – few strands soaked in 1 tbsp water
  • Cardamom pwdr – 1 tsp

METHOD

Take both the flours + ghee + 100 grms water in a big bowl.

Mix well till there are no lumps.

Now beat the mixture with clean hands in a clock wise direction for 5 mins.

Now cover and keep aside for minimum 30 mins.

Now heat a heavy bottom pan and add the mixture to it.

Now stir and cook on medium flame for 25 to 30 mins till a golden brown mixture is formed.

Now add the mawa and mix well till no lumps are formed.Stir and cook for 8 to 10 mins .Off the flame.

Add the rose petals + dryfruits and mix well. Keep aside to cool .

Take sugar + water in a pan , cook and make a single thread consistency syrup. Add cardamom pwdr + saffron to it and mix.

Add the hot syrup and mix well .

Keep aside for 10 mins.

Once you are bale to handle the mixture , shape ladoos or any shape using moulds and keep aside.

You can store for 15 days .
