MIX VEG RAITA RECIPE FOR WEIGHTLOSS

Raita is prepared using curd, which is high in protein and low in unhealthy fats. It makes for a perfect aid for digestion and weight loss.

Raita is a form of fermented milk product that contains live and healthy bacteria. It is prepared by stir curd and garnished with vegetables and fruits that makes it a weight loss friendly condiment. 2. Raita is a nutrient dense food with high quality protein and it is a potential source of vitamins and minerals.

Curd is an excellent fat burner. Curd contains high amounts of calcium which helps in keeping the BMI levels in check. Probiotics present in curd keeps the digestive system in check and improves metabolism, thus facilitating the weight loss process.

INGREDIENTS

  • Fresh chilled curd – 1 cup
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves – 2 tbsp
  • Finely chopped veges – 1 cup [  onion / carrot /beetroot / tomato / cucumber /capsicum ]
  • Blanched or stir fried spinach – ¼ cup [ optional ]
  • Black salt or regular salt to taste
  • Black pepper – ¼ or as per taste
  • Chaat masala – ½ tsp
  • Roasted jeera pwdr – ½ tsp

METHOD

Whisk the curd till smooth.

Add the ground spices + salt and mix well.

Add the finely chopped veggies and mix .

Check the taste and add more of the spice powders or salt if required.

Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves .

Serve the vegetable raita immediately.

NOTE

  1. Serve immediately else the veges will leave water and become soggy .
  2. Adjust spices as per taste .
  3. Instead of pepper , you can add red chilli pwdr or green chilli .
  4. If you want to add veges which cannot be eaten raw , then steam or blanch and add .
  5. If the curd is not sour, add few drops of lemon juice .
