SOYA IN WHITE GRAVY

INGREDIENTS

Soya mini chunks – 1 cup

METHOD

Boil the chunks in enough water with salt for 6 to 7 mins.

Once done allow to cool. Drain excess water .Squeeze and wash it well .Drain the water completely and keep aside .

INGREDIENTS FOR BASE

  • Onion chopped – 1 big
  • Cashew nut – 5

METHOD

Take onions, cashew nuts and 1 cup water, boil for 10 mins OR pressure cook upto 1 whistle •

INGREDIENTS FOR GRAVY

  • Oil + butter – 1 or 1 ½  tbsp
  • Ginger garlic paste – 1 tsp
  • Boiled onion and cashew paste
  • Fresh cream –  ¼  cup OR full fat milk – 1/4 cup
  • Sugar – ½  tsp
  • Coriander powder – 2 tsp
  • Chaat masala pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Lemon juice – 2 tsp
  • green chilli – 2 or 3 or as per taste
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh curd – ¼  cup [ not sour ]
  • Garam masala – ½  tsp
  • Kasuri methi – 2 tsp

PREPARATION

  1. Take boiled onion and cashew with the water in a mixie jar and blend .
  2. Now add all the other ingredients one by one . [except oil and butter ]
  3. Add 1/4 th  or 1/2 cup hot water /milk   and grind into fine paste .

 METHOD

Heat oil in a pan

Add freshly prepared cashew and onion paste.

Give a nice mix and add the boiled soya chunks .

Mix well and cook for 5 mins till the masala are absorbed .

Once it starts boiling off the flame.
