Dry roast poha on low flame until these turn nice and crispy. Once done allow to cool .
Transfer it into a blender jar and blend into coarse powder.
In the same pan add fresh coconut and dry roast for few seconds only . [ colour of the coconut should not change ]Transfer to a plate .
Now add water + jaggery in the same pan .
Cook for few min s till jaggery melts completely . [ 4 – 5 mins ]
Add the poha pwdr + coconut + cardamom pwdr and start mixing immediately .
Mix well , see that there are no lumps . We need a smooth mixture .
Cook till the mixture thickens into a dough texture .
Add ghee + nuts and mix.
Turn off the gas and let the mixture cool down a little.
Now either make burfis / vadis or ladoos from it .
I have used modak moulds to make modak shaped hindori .
Finally garnish with pistas .
