NARAYAN DAS LADOO / COCONUT RAVA MODAK / NAIVEDYA PRASAD FOR GANESH CHATHURTI / RAGHAVDAS LADOO

Special soft and delicious ladoo from Maharashtra, Raghavdas Ladoos are  prepared with coconut + semolina with sugar syrup  

INGREDIENTS

  • ¾  cup Sugar
  • ¼  cup Water
  • 1 cup rava / Semolina
  • 2 tbsp Ghee
  • ½ tsp cardamom pwdr
  • 1 ½  cup freshly grated Coconut
  • Few saffron strands soaked in ¼  cup milk

PREPARATION

Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan .

Add the rava and stir fry for 2 mins on low flame .

Now again add 1 tbsp ghee and stir fry for 5 mins low flame till aromatic .[colour should not change ]

Add the coconut and stir fry for 3 to 4 mins.

Add salt + saffron milk and mix well.

Cook for 1 min and  off the flame .

METHOD

In another pan take sugar + water and  cook till the sugar melts.

Lower the flame and add the rava mixture.

Mix well and off the flame.

Once you are able to handle the mixture , start shaping it in any shapes like ladoo etc.

 I gave modak shapes and offered in prasad .
