CREAMY GARLIC CHCIKEN
INGREDIENTS FOR MARINADE
- Chicken breasts – 400 grms
- Pepper pwdr – 1 tsp
- Garlic crushed – 2 tsp
- Salt to taste
- Olive oil – 1 tsp [ optional ]
INGREDIENTS
- Finely minced garlic – 1 tbsp
- Olive oil – 1 tbsp
- Butter – 1 tbsp
- Water or stock – ¾ cup
- Fresh cream – ¾ cup
- Lemon juice – 1 tsp
- Dried oregano / Italian herbs – 1 tsp
- Pepper pwdr – 1 tsp
- Salt to taste
NOTE
Either make stock at home – Basic home made VEGETABLE stock
OR use a maggi magic cube to prepare the stock. Just mix the cube in hot water and mix well till it gets dissolved .
METHOD
Clean and wash the chicken breast .Pat dry it.
If the breast is too thick , hammer it .
Make slits all over the breast.
Make a marinade of pepper pwdr + salt + garlic + oil .
Apply all the chicken breast. Let it rest in the fridge for 30 mins minimum or over night.
Heat a pan over medium heat with olive oil and butter.
Add the marinated chicken .Cook until golden and no longer pink. 6 to 8 minutes per side, depending on the thickness of the breast. Remove from the pan and set aside.
In the same pan , stir in garlic and cook until fragrant.
Add the stock + salt + pepper pwdr + oregano and give a nice mix.
Be careful while adding salt as we are adding stock .
Bring to a boil.
Lower the flame and add the fresh cream + lemon juice and mix well.
Again bring to a boil .
Place in the roasted chicken , splash some sauce all over.
Simmer on low flame for 1 or 2 mins and off the flame.
Sevre hot with pasta/ spaghetti/ mashed potato / crispy cheesy garlic bread / tossed veges /Salads
NOTE
- Instead of adding lemon juice in the sauce , you can add while serving .
- We can add cheese / spinach / mushrooms etc
- I made it thin , as my family loves this sauce.You can make thick .
