PANEER IN WHITE GRAVY

INGREDIENTS FOR BASE

  • Onion chopped – 2 medium
  • Cashew nut – 15

METHOD

Take onions, cashew nuts and 2 cups water, boil for 10 mins OR pressure cook upto 1 whistle .

INGREDIENTS FOR GRAVY

  • Oil + butter – 2 tbsp
  • Paneer cubes – 250 or 300 grms
  • Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
  • Boiled onion and cashew paste
  • Fresh cream ½ cup
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder – 3 tsp
  • green chilli – 3 or 4
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh curd ½ cup [ not sour ]
  • Garam masala 1 tsp
  • Kasuri methi – 1 or 2 tsp

PREPARATION

  1. Take boiled onion and cashew with the water in a mixie jar and blend .
  2. Now add all the other ingredients one by one . [except oil and butter ]
  3. Add 1/4 th   cup hot water /milk   and grind into fine paste .

 METHOD

Heat oil in a pan

Add freshly prepared cashew and onion paste.

Cook for  4 to 5 mins till raw smell leaves

Cook on medium flame .

Add the paneer cubes and give a mix .

Once it starts boiling lower the flame and simmer for 1 or 2 mins .

Off the flame.

Serve hot with any Indian bread or rice items .
