PANEER IN WHITE GRAVY
INGREDIENTS FOR BASE
- Onion chopped – 2 medium
- Cashew nut – 15
METHOD
Take onions, cashew nuts and 2 cups water, boil for 10 mins OR pressure cook upto 1 whistle .
INGREDIENTS FOR GRAVY
- Oil + butter – 2 tbsp
- Paneer cubes – 250 or 300 grms
- Ginger garlic paste – 2 tsp
- Boiled onion and cashew paste
- Fresh cream ½ cup
- Sugar 1 tsp
- Coriander powder – 3 tsp
- green chilli – 3 or 4
- Salt to taste
- Fresh curd ½ cup [ not sour ]
- Garam masala 1 tsp
- Kasuri methi – 1 or 2 tsp
PREPARATION
- Take boiled onion and cashew with the water in a mixie jar and blend .
- Now add all the other ingredients one by one . [except oil and butter ]
- Add 1/4 th cup hot water /milk and grind into fine paste .
METHOD
Heat oil in a pan
Add freshly prepared cashew and onion paste.
Cook for 4 to 5 mins till raw smell leaves
Cook on medium flame .
Add the paneer cubes and give a mix .
Once it starts boiling lower the flame and simmer for 1 or 2 mins .
Off the flame.
Serve hot with any Indian bread or rice items .
I served it quick and instant peas pulao made in cooker –
