Cabbage paratha without stuffing

 Cabbage is high in beta-carotene, vitamin C and fiber. (Vitamin C to reduce toxins which are the main causes of arthritis, gout, and skin diseases.)

   NO STUFFING CABBAGE PARATHA

INGREDIENTS

  • Finely grated cabbage – 1  cup
  • Finely chopped coriander leaves – ¼ cup
  • Wheat flour – 2 cup
  • Ginger garlic green chilli paste – 1 ½ tsp
  • Roasted jeera pwdr – ½ tsp
  • Chilli pwdr – 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala – ½ tsp
  • Ajwain – 1/2 tsp
  • Amchur pwdr – 1/4 tsp
  • Curd – 2 tbsp
  • Water to knead
  • Oil – 1 tsp to knead
  • Ghee or oil to roast the paratha

PREPARATION

Grate the cabbage finely.

METHOD

Take all the ingredients in a big plate and mix well .[except oil and water ]

Gradually add water and start kneading .

Knead it into a smooth dough . [ be careful as veges releases water ]

Add oil and knead well.

***Once the dough is made we have to immediately make the parathas.

Divide the dough into equal portions .

Roll each into soft ball with your palms and roll it into parathas by dusting dry flour.

Place it on a hot tava .

When it is half done , flip on the other side and cook on the other side.

Again flip and apply ghee or oil and cook till brown spots appear on both sides.

Press the edges for even cooking.

Serve  hot with curd + chutney powder + wet chutneys.

NOTES

  1. Once the dough is done be quick .
  2. Also be careful while adding water for kneading as the cabbage will leave water.
  3. If you want you can saute the cabbage in very little oil and then use it.
  4. Ginger garlic paste + besan adds flavour ..
